Folks,
Sunday’s Spiritual Day was amazing!!!!! Rabbi Abe was
his wonderful self, sharing his experience from his
heart and truly inspiring those that attended. His
humor, sensitivity, warmth and caring are quite evident
whenever he speaks.
As we know that there are no coincidences in G-d’s
world, the fact that the event was planned for afternoon
instead of the morning worked out quite well as the
person who was supposed to pick Rabbi Abe up got sick
and I had plenty of time to find someone else, thank you
Jeff. And we also had an ice storm Saturday evening that
if we had the event scheduled for Sunday early, would
have caused even more problems for those wanting to
attend.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Rabbi Abe for
being there again, you have helped so many with so much
and you have changed people’s lives for the better.
Thank you from me personally and from those who
commented on all that you have done for them, either by
speaking with you directly or even through your books.
I’d also like to thank Marilyn P. for chairing the event
and doing a ‘mah-velous’ job. The evaluations reflect
the hard, heart-felt work that you put into this and
everyone loved the day.
I also want to thank my wife Kathy, my daughter Devorah,
Ellen T., and Lisa R. for helping out at the
registration desk.
And a special thank you to Glenn K. Audio for coming
with his merchandise and also for recording the event.

2) Florida RSFI news:
a) There is a monthly RSFI meeting in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida. Please see the attached flyer for more
information.
b) We would like to congratulate Rabbi Nahum Simon on
his appoint as director of the Techiya Program, a new
Jewish treatment program that is scheduled to open
January 1, 2009, at Behavioral Health of the Palm
Beaches. The program will be a full service treatment
program, including Jewish spirituality, Glatt Kosher
food and the observance of Shabbat and Yom Tov. For

"I once came across a street sign that said ‘bump in the
road’ and around the cornet another sign that said ‘hump
in the road’. Being of keen intellect and alcoholic mind
I always wondered why the city would have two different
signs on two different roads. Until I saw two different
cars go across the hump and bump and realized a
spiritual significance.
When I go across either one and my car is in good
condition – it’s a bump. When I cross over it and my car
is in bad shape, it becomes this huge HUMP!! The same
with my recovery, depending on my spiritual place, I can
tell whether I am going over a hump or a bump and
depending on the answer depends on what I need to do to
