8) Spiritual Thoughts for the Week:
A) What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that
happens, all events, past, present, and to come, are gently planned by
One Whose only purpose is your good? - A Course in Miracles
B) Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths.
It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend
it. Once we truly know that life is difficult – once we truly understand
and accept it – then life is no longer difficult. Because once we truly
accept it, that fact that life is difficult no longer matters. – M.

On a personal note : Last week's Spiritual Thought generated some
discussion as one of the Quotes was from the Koran. On proof- reading
the newsletter it totally passed me by and I did not see where the quote
came from. I immediately received a ½ dozen or so complaints. As most of
you know I sent out an apology for not proof-reading better and promised
(for those who were offended) that 'such a quote' would not happen
again.
Interestingly, I received more than 4 times that amount of emails
basically stating that 'from wherever true spirituality comes, RECOVERY
allows us to accept and be open to it'. I, for one, have gotten
Spiritual truth from the torah, the Talmud, The Kabbalah, the Sunday
morning televangelists, the Buddhists, from Motorcycle Pete, among
others, that have taught me many ways to look deeply inside and make
positive changes for the better. Nuff' said!
Well, that's it for now. Please SPREAD THE WORD about us so we can get
this message of recovery, events and fun out to everyone. This will only
work if you become a part of it.
Hey, how do you like our new LOGO????
